i am just praying for the hotass were NOT to be a furry edward. otherwise, this looks very promising, as they went down the road of the story as a metaphor for the first sexual experience. although i would have so much liked to leave all the "i'm-wrong-for-you" crap out. come on, no guy will tell you that AND mean it!!!! the wolf should be seductive and dangerous and predatory, because, you know, it's an initiation rite. women need initiation tales as well - and the whole concept of coming out of the wolf belly speaks volumes. just leave the woodsman out and make her come out by her own means. it is a much more meaningful lesson than the rom-coms. other than that, i'm very happy with all the gothic imagery and the choice of actors and director.
p.s. i sort of horrified people with this interpretation of the tale but it's not my fault these stories have been disney-fied. originally, little red, snow white, cinderella, you-name-it were cautionary tales, quite close to the horror genre and not for children.
p.s. 2 - there's absolutely nothing like gothic romance.
