also, a few new moon observations. this movie fills me with glee and giggles and not one moment of sadness.
edward is noticeably creepier and this is good because he's a vampire.
leonardo di caprio is a better romeo. actually, the best. maybe because he's got the scorpio intensity and inner turmoil.
aro is... well, perfect. actually i loved the whole italy story arc. yep, even the attempted suicide by sparkle.
victoria being chased in the woods by wolves was nicely done.
i think sam uley's love should have been more expressive. they keep saying that imprinting makes one look... obsessed. that was not too apparent.
and probably number one: jacob answering the phone. har har

no, really. official premiere in the US. official premiere here is next week.
i'm just going to celebrate it later, when i get home ...

of course new moon broke box-office records for midnight screenings alone. that shows how much we love gooey vampire romance.
also, cleolinda has a theory about why this story is so successful. suprinsingly, it's because of the gooey romance/eyesexing. of course it is.

i like new moon the movie like whoa. because it's so over-the-top dripping with luuuuuuuv and romance and tortured angst and bella's fuckwittery is so obvious.

therefore i have a reason to celebrate. what? christmas is far, samhain has passed, sparklemas sounds like a great option ...

Suggesting that 2012's supremacy at the box office is likely to be shortlived, the online ticket seller Fandango said Sunday that The Twilight Saga: New Moon has sold more tickets in advance of its opening than any film in history. The film, which opens at midnight Thursday/Friday, has also altered the plans of theater owners, for as each midnight screening sells out, they have reportedly been adding new ones, presumably by "bicycling" prints between screens. Last year's original Twilight, which opened on the same weekend, took in $69 million, and some analysts are predicting that the new one could earn close to $100 million, and a few are predicting it could challenge Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which has the year's best opening weekend with $108 million.

on the bright side - 6 more days till new moon premieres in the US. and another week till it premieres here. i envy bella so much right now. all she has to worry is whether a silly sparkly vampire loves her or not. me, on the other hand, i have to worry about a gazillion things...

see, this is another reason for which i love internet. On internet you can find clips from movies and later you can edit them.... of course i don't own the clips OR the song. I just mashed them together. And yep, i think this makes me a (lol)fan and i am (again) not sorry about spending my afternoon doing it.

12 more days to the New Moon premiere! Yay, shirtless vampires and werewolves! Also, Breaking Dawn may start filming next fall... i am still very much against toning down the gory/sexy elements. Because, you know, the sexing was a plot point. and it's so lolarious and OMG make it daaaaaaaaark and scary and tense. on purple-bruises-shattered-furniture-pillow-biting-om-nom-nom! and you know that, if i made that particular movie, bella would be so dead the next morning. For maximum angst. But then... there would be no Renesmee.

i have a new found respect for movie-version bella swan. She slaps a werewolf and she didn't break her hand! That was sexy! Also, werewolves are sexy. Still Team Jacob!

and you know what? i actually think this is fab. because it shows just how new moon could have been a good story, at least by my standards. so edward ditches bella because this is the way most men deal with situations that require them to be responsible and sensible - by running away (i said most, not all!), but bella hasn't yet discovered that concept so emocakes, blah blah jacob, blah. and then alice shows up and tells bella "hiiiiiiii, you smell good. also edward is not the brightest bulb in the christmas tree though possibly the sparkliest thus he decided to commit suicide by volturi omg. because he thought you were dead". running away to italy ensues and when noon strikes midday bella runs towards edward just like in the movie but ohnoes he actually steps into the light and littlest jane tasers him with her mind then the other volturi rip him to pieces. and bella sees all that so the volturi chomp her as well. it's incredibly tragic and then marcus recites poetry over their dead bodies and stuff because he sees relationships.

jacob is heartbroken for a while but then he has a nice and healthy relationship with angela who is actually a decent human being and does not have a death wish. fin. well, the jacob part can be left out, i just added it there because i decided to be on team jacob.
see, this is why i love internet. on internet you can publish fan fiction, even of the worst kind.

duh, of course it's from the new moon soundtrack. and you know what? this is an album i would actually buy because it's so very lovable. on my favourites list it ranks up there with the romeo and juliet soundtrack.

the new moon soundtrack leaked on the web. OMGYAY! i really really like the soundtrack, in a very non snarky way. because it's genuinely likeable.

the music is totally great.


also, the "satellite heart, lost in the dark" of "i-see-what-you-did-there". see, someone was right about calling me a goth at heart.as in mary-shelley-old-school-romantic-gothic not as in wear-black-listen-to-obscure-bands-growling-gothic.

first of all, i saw napoleon dynamite. jolly good film, v funny, prooves that sometimes humor is not limited to fart/sex jokes.
then TAH DAH!! Brand new New Moon trailer, OMG Edward is also half-naked, whee! at this rate, Eclipse is going to be rated R whereas Braking Dawn is going to have an X painted all over the screen. and David Cronenberg is going to direct is (C-section performed by a vampire, anyone??)



also, the finale of True Blood.

didn't i tell you it has LOTS and i mean OMG LOTS of scenes with half-naked werewolves? also, jacob almost kisses bella. and eddie has an attempt at being half-naked himself and he clearly kisses bella, because this is what this movie will be about. in conclusion: jacob 1 - edward 1. jacob gets 1 point for the abs and pecs (he did work hard at reshaping his body) and edward gets 1 point for the kiss. although i am going to be biased here and point out that too much muscle in the form of jacob is sort of a personal turn-off. what? in real life i don't like buff guys. the whole climbing on the window makes me starry-eyed though, since it's an incredibly romantic thing to do.
