a few musings on saturn retrograde in libra

i'll go against many astrologers on this one, since they tend to see saturn as a repressive, restrictive, very frustrating force that limits your self-expression. i'll have to agree with saturn on the fact that most people think that self-expression means doing whatever you damn please without consequences. saturn represents those consequences which are after all a law of nature.action and reaction.
what saturn in libra says is: there should be boundaries to your self-expression because you are not alone in this world. the other has the same rights as you do so your freedom should not obstruct her/his freedom. you are free not to play by the rules, but there's a price to pay for that. if you don't like that price (the current jupiter and uranus in aries don't like it), that is your problem, but you still have to pay it. saturn in libra is about fairness, civilization and compromise - there are rules to be observed and limits that shall not be crossed for a very good reason. we would have endless quarreling and conflicts which are terribly counterproductive and we would go nowhere. be smart: work with the others, says saturn in libra, for you will have many benefits and they will too.

after all, saturn in libra doesn't like war. it strives for peace. it has a sword, true, but also a pair of golden scales.
